Online Video

In 2008, Cyclogram produced its first video with a crew more familiar with reality television than social policy programming. The odd combination worked. The semi-scripted approach gave real professionals the opportunity to accurately share their knowledge and experiences. The experience of reality production staff allowed us to build stories that entertain the viewer with every day activities. Our sensitivity to the issues allow us to build awareness and teach important professional development lessons.

Street Outreach: Venice Beach

In 2007, inspired by the success of TV programs like the Hills on MTV, WorkOut on Bravo, and 30Days on FX, Cyclogram hired a reality production team and hired a couple of providers to spend a Saturday filming a three episode series on the basics of street outreach.

The episodes have the basic building blocks of our approach to online training videos: They are short. They entertain. They introduce key concepts. We do not put people in a class room. We show mistakes. We allow instructors to question themselves and provide personal insight.

Larkin Street Stories: LGBT Homeless Youth

Up to one in five people under the age of 24 living on the street is questioning his or her sexuality. Learn how Toby and Loch provide guidance to this group in Larkin Street Stories.

Cyclogram produced twenty-two short-form day in the life videos for the “Street Stories” series for the Homelessness Resource Center and the Co-Occurring Homeless Activities Branch of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. We filmed a three-series arch in San Francisco, California with Larkin Street Youth Services on LGBT Youth and Homelessness.
