Homelesshub

A prime example of our media orientation to professional development.

Homelesshub.ca was conceived of as a way for Canadian researchers on homelessness to search a library. We worked with York University to provide features that create an online periodical that successfully competes for attention with the other general content sites on the Web. To improve engagement, we added commenting and an internal "semi-permeable" social networking feature.

In April of 2012, Homelesshub.ca will move to the new Cyclogram clearinghouse platform—with expanded social features and an updated user interface. At that point, we will launch the site in both English and Québécois French—Cyclogram’s first non-Spanish, multi-lingual site. At launch, we will add Cyclogram-produced Street Stories video content, expanding our content reach into Canada.
